Hannah was one of the best guides we’ve met on our Vietnam trip—warm, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of the region. She explained the economic shifts behind the smaller Cai Be market now, which helped us appreciate what we did see rather than feel disappointed. The Mekong canals were like a dream. The lunch was healthy and delicious, served in a shaded orchard. I especially loved the end of the tour—the brick and pottery kiln—something I didn’t expect to enjoy but found very moving. It’s a day packed with culture, food, nature, and heart.
This was the highlight of our Vietnam trip. Chris made everything feel smooth and enriching without ever being overwhelming. The boat ride from Cai Be showed us a slower way of life, and the pop rice demo was a fun surprise (so loud and fun!). The rowing sampan ride through the canal was quiet and magical—it felt like something out of a movie. Lunch with the elephant ear fish was super tasty. I also really liked the visit to the traditional pottery kilns—it’s so raw and real. The drive back to Can Tho was relaxing after a full and fulfilling day.
Lâm was a fantastic guide—kind, super knowledgeable, and funny too. The day started with a comfortable drive to Cai Be, where we hopped on a boat and began exploring. The workshops were charming; we tasted coconut treats and even saw someone make snake wine (yep, a real snake). The floating market is sadly shrinking, but Lâm explained the reasons thoughtfully, without sugarcoating. The highlight was the sampan ride through peaceful, shaded canals. Lunch in the garden was delicious and unpretentious. I loved ending the day with the traditional brick kiln visit in Vinh Long. A rich, low-key, beautiful day.
Duy made this day so much more than sightseeing. His stories gave real context to everything we saw—from the coconut candy to the traditional music performance. I especially appreciated his honesty about how the floating markets have changed post-Covid. The visit to the brick kiln was unexpectedly fascinating, and lunch under the trees was delicious and relaxing. But the rowing sampan was my favorite moment—it felt like time stopped. The trip from Can Tho to Cai Be and back was seamless thanks to the driver. It’s a full day, but every minute was worthwhile.
This tour wasn’t flashy or adrenaline-filled, and that’s what I loved most. Chris was calm, informative, and very attuned to the group. We glided past old stilt houses, tasted coconut sweets still warm from production, and listened to a soulful performance of Đàn Ca Tài Tử. The sampan ride in the canal was the most peaceful moment I’ve had in a long time. Lunch was simple but delicious. I especially appreciated the stop at the pottery kiln—it felt like a slice of real life, not something dressed up for tourists. If you want to feel connected to Vietnam’s quieter rhythms, this is your tour.
