I loved every bit of this day – from the moment Duy greeted us in HCMC to when we arrived in Can Tho. He was energetic, funny, and so good at adapting the tour to our interests. I learned a lot about coconuts – who knew you could make wine from it? The xe lôi was bumpy but beautiful, and the hand-rowed sampan was just serene. Lunch was delicious, and I appreciated that everything felt authentic and made with care. This is a tour I’d recommend to anyone looking to get off the beaten track without sacrificing comfort.
As a first-time visitor to Vietnam, I wanted a one-day experience that would show me more than just cities. This tour absolutely delivered. Hannah was so friendly and well-prepared. She taught us about coconut culture, local industries, and the way people live in Ben Tre – all without it ever feeling like a lecture. The sampan ride was peaceful, the xe lôi ride was fun, and the lunch in the garden was delicious. I arrived in Can Tho wishing I had signed up for two more days.
This was one of those days where everything just flowed. Picked up at our hotel on time. Met Chris, our super chill guide who kept things interesting with facts and jokes. The xe lôi ride was hilarious – like an old-school countryside rollercoaster! Loved the coconut factory, especially the part where we watched the candy being pulled and shaped. Lunch? Top-notch. The elephant ear fish looked intimidating but tasted amazing. Ending the day in Can Tho gave us a new town to explore. For a one-day tour, it hit all the right notes.
I didn’t expect to enjoy the brick kiln as much as I did – seeing people work with clay and fire by hand was so raw and real. David, our guide, had a calming presence and explained every part of Mekong life so respectfully. The coconut house was another world – I tried coconut wine for the first time (strong, but fun 😅), and the locals were very welcoming. The sampan ride through the palms was like gliding through a movie set. Lunch in the orchard was peaceful, and we loved that it was made with local ingredients. By the time we reached Can Tho, I felt both full and fulfilled.
We traveled with two young kids (5 and 8), and I was worried they’d get bored – but they LOVED it. Duy, our guide, made everything engaging and fun for them. He let them touch coconuts, try weaving mats, and even “help” row the sampan. The xe lôi ride was their highlight – bumpy and full of laughs. The coconut candy workshop gave them a sugar boost, and they kept asking for more samples 😄. Lunch was lovely, with room for them to run around in the garden. Reaching Can Tho by early evening, we were tired but happy. A perfect day for families!
As someone who loves coconuts, this tour was heaven. I never realized just how many things you can do with a coconut until Danh explained everything at the local workshop – from candy to mats to oil. So cool! The sampan ride was peaceful, a nice break from city chaos. Also enjoyed the bumpy ride on the xe lôi — the wind in your face and all that green, it’s unforgettable. Lunch was well-portioned and authentic, especially the fried elephant ear fish. We ended in Can Tho around sunset, which was a perfect photo moment. Loved every bit!
I usually don’t do group tours, but this private experience changed my mind. From the brick kiln to the sampan ride, it felt like we were constantly discovering something new. David, our guide, was patient, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. The mat weaving part was my favorite – the elderly woman smiled at us and showed me how to hold the sedge properly. Felt like such a genuine exchange. The coconut samples were fun, but the lunch in the garden was the real highlight – tranquil and tasty. The drive to Can Tho was smooth and gave us time to reflect. Brilliant day!
I had just landed in Vietnam a day earlier and this tour was the perfect introduction to the south. Lâm, our guide, was enthusiastic and clearly passionate about the region. Every stop had a purpose — from the hands-on coconut demo to the peaceful sampan ride, it all felt immersive. The xe lôi ride was hilarious and bouncy (hold on tight!). And I didn’t expect lunch to be that good — it’s worth the trip for that fish alone. Ending in Can Tho made it easy to continue my journey the next day. Highly recommend for first-timers.
I was worried a 1-day tour might be rushed, but it felt just right. Hannah made us feel like guests, not tourists. She answered all our questions with care and patience. The sampan ride in the canals was almost meditative — quiet, green, still. I also loved seeing the daily lives of the locals, especially the elderly lady weaving mats by hand. The coconut samples were delicious and the garden lunch was such a peaceful break. Ending in Can Tho meant we didn’t have to rush back to Saigon. Highly recommend for those who want real insight into delta life.
