   Vivere il delta del Mekong per un giorno

   Una giornata perfetta, intensa ma mai stressante. Il merito va anche a Hannah, la nostra guida sempre gentile e preparata. La pagoda di Vinh Trang è stata un inizio suggestivo. Poi la gita in barca lungo il Mekong ci ha regalato scorci incredibili sulla vita locale: le case galleggianti, le isolette, i pescatori. Nel villaggio di Tan Thach ho visto per la prima volta come si fanno i dolci di cocco e ho assaggiato tanti prodotti locali – tutto buonissimo! Mi è piaciuta molto anche la carrozza trainata da cavalli: sembrava di essere in un altro tempo. La musica tradizionale dal vivo, i frutti tropicali e il tè al miele sono stati una pausa davvero piacevole. Ma il giro in sampan è stato il momento più emozionante: silenzio, natura, e solo il rumore dell’acqua. Il pranzo è stato abbondante e di qualità, con tante portate gustose. Siamo arrivati a Can Tho rilassati e pieni di nuove immagini nella mente. Un tour da non perdere.

   I wasn’t sure how much we could do in a day, but this tour exceeded my expectations. Duy, our guide, was exceptional—sharp, respectful, and very passionate. The visit to Vinh Trang pagoda gave us a sense of spiritual calm before heading to the boat. Cruising on the Mekong was the kind of slow travel I love—time to just observe. Tan Thach village felt like a hidden gem. Watching how they make coconut candy and wine was unexpectedly fun. We also got to try coconut snacks and fresh honey tea. The horse cart ride was a unique way to see more of the area. The music show was small and sweet, and the fruits were delicious. But the sampan ride was the real highlight—such serenity, I could’ve stayed there all day. Lunch was fresh and generous. That fish was huge and beautifully cooked. We reached Can Tho by late afternoon, and I couldn’t stop smiling. If you're short on time but want a deep cultural experience, this is the one.

   Nous avons adoré chaque étape de cette excursion, qui offre un superbe équilibre entre culture, nature et gastronomie. Mention spéciale à notre guide Minh, toujours attentionné et drôle. La pagode Vinh Trang, avec son style unique et ses grandes statues, valait déjà le détour. Sur le bateau, nous avons découvert les îlots du Mékong et les maisons flottantes. Une autre vie. À Tan Thach, c’était paisible. Le travail autour de la noix de coco est fascinant. Je ne pensais pas qu’on pouvait en faire autant ! La balade en calèche ajoutait une touche d’authenticité, et le petit concert avec les fruits frais était charmant. Le moment en barque à rame fut presque méditatif. Le repas de midi était délicieux, et on s’est vraiment sentis accueillis comme des invités. Arrivée à Cần Thơ à temps pour se poser et regarder le coucher du soleil. Que demander de plus ?

   This tour was exactly what I hoped for—authentic, informative, and beautifully organized. Chris, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge and kept things fun. Starting with the Vinh Trang pagoda was a peaceful beginning. The boat ride afterward gave us a great overview of life along the Mekong—floating houses, locals on boats, and lots of waving children! I appreciated how we went to a less touristy area like Tan Thach. The coconut workshop was surprisingly engaging, especially watching them cut, cook, and wrap the candies. Riding a horse cart through the village was a fun throwback, and I loved the small music performance—intimate and joyful. The sampan ride through the narrow canal was a highlight. It felt like a secret world, surrounded by lush greenery. Lunch was beyond expectations. The elephant ear fish was crispy and perfectly prepared. We arrived in Can Tho late afternoon, with full bellies and warm memories. Highly recommend this tour if you want a rich taste of the Mekong Delta.

   Un jour hors du temps sur le Mékong

   Le rythme de la journée était parfait : on ne s’est jamais ennuyés, mais tout en gardant une vraie sensation de détente. Thomas, notre guide, a su créer une ambiance chaleureuse et nous a appris beaucoup sur la région. La pagode Vinh Trang était élégante, remplie de détails à observer. Ensuite, la navigation sur le Mékong fut très agréable, surtout avec le vent doux et les paysages calmes. J’ai particulièrement apprécié le fait d’aller à Tan Thach, moins touristique. On a vu comment les habitants utilisent chaque partie de la noix de coco, et les dégustations étaient un vrai plus. Le trajet en calèche était amusant, et le petit concert de musique traditionnelle m’a vraiment touché. Mais le plus beau moment pour moi, c’était la balade en sampan. Silence, cocotiers, ombre… c’était magique. Le déjeuner était copieux et savoureux, avec le fameux poisson aux oreilles d’éléphant. Une fois arrivés à Cần Thơ, j’avais l’impression d’avoir fait un véritable voyage en une seule journée.

   Un’esperienza intensa, colorata e ben organizzata. David, la nostra guida, era simpatico e sempre attento a tutti. La pagoda di Vinh Trang è stata una piacevole sorpresa, molto curata e ricca di storia. Sul fiume Mekong abbiamo navigato fra isolette e case galleggianti, godendoci l’aria fresca. A Tan Thach abbiamo visto come si lavorano i prodotti della noce di cocco: caramelle, vino, olio… tutto spiegato in modo chiaro e coinvolgente. Il giro in carrozza e poi la musica tradizionale sotto i palmi è stato un bel momento di relax. Il tratto in sampan lungo il canale è stato il momento più magico: solo il rumore dell’acqua e la vegetazione sopra di noi. Il pranzo è stato eccellente: pesce, verdure, piatti tipici, tutto buonissimo. Nel pomeriggio siamo arrivati a Can Tho stanchi ma felici. Lo rifarei subito!

   C’était une journée pleine de charme et de découvertes, parfaitement menée par notre guide Hannah. Nous avons commencé par la pagode Vinh Trang, paisible et élégante. Ensuite, une promenade en bateau sur le Mékong nous a permis d’observer les maisons flottantes et la vie autour des îles. Le village de Tân Thạch m’a beaucoup plu – loin de la foule, avec une atmosphère sincère. J’ai appris comment on fabrique les bonbons à la noix de coco, et j’en ai goûté plein ! La promenade en calèche était amusante, et le moment musical sous les arbres, avec fruits tropicaux et thé au miel, m’a touchée. La balade en sampan dans les petits canaux est restée gravée dans ma mémoire : calme, ombre et le clapotis de l’eau. Nous avons terminé par un déjeuner excellent, avec le poisson « oreille d’éléphant » – délicieux ! Arrivés à Can Tho en fin d’après-midi, j’avais l’impression d’avoir vécu une petite aventure authentique.

   Dieser Tagesausflug war ein echtes Highlight meiner Vietnam-Reise. Unser Guide Minh war hervorragend – kompetent, freundlich und geduldig. Wir starteten mit der Vinh-Trang-Pagode – eine Oase der Ruhe. Danach ging es per Boot auf den Mekong, wo wir die schwimmenden Häuser und die verschiedenen Inseln sahen. Besonders gefallen hat mir das Dorf Tan Thach – weniger touristisch, authentisch. Die Herstellung der Kokosbonbons war spannend, und wir durften viele Leckereien probieren. Mit der Pferdekutsche durch das Dorf zu fahren war unterhaltsam, und bei der Musikaufführung herrschte eine tolle Atmosphäre. Der Sampan-Ausflug durch die kleinen Kanäle war fast magisch – so ruhig, so grün. Beim Mittagessen mit dem berühmten „Elefantenohrfisch“ kamen alle voll auf ihre Kosten. Am späten Nachmittag kamen wir entspannt in Can Tho an. Ich kann diesen Ausflug uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

    Leaving the energy of Ho Chi Minh City behind, I didn’t expect such a peaceful experience in just one day. Our guide Danh was fantastic—easygoing, funny, and full of insight. The Vinh Trang pagoda was our first stop, and I loved the mix of architectural styles. Danh explained the history in a way that was both informative and fun. The boat ride was gentle and gave us glimpses of local life on the Mekong. I especially enjoyed seeing the floating fish farms—very unique. Tan Thach village was quiet and welcoming. Watching how they make coconut candy was genuinely cool, and we even got to try wrapping one! The horse cart ride made me smile—like stepping back in time. I enjoyed the traditional music and tropical fruits, but it was the sampan ride that really stood out. Gliding through the narrow, shaded canal was simply beautiful. Lunch? Amazing! The elephant ear fish was a showstopper. After all that, we had a comfy transfer to Can Tho and arrived by sunset. It’s incredible how much you can experience in a single day without feeling rushed.
