Vinh Long is about 40km from Can Tho. This unique tour includes an amazing Mekong River boat excursion with lunch on board, a light trekking in the hundred-brick-kiln Kingdom & its village, the rowing sampan & small canal, visit the coconut candy & pop rice village on the islet.
When people ask me what to see in Mekong today. I tell them view our MekongDelta365.

Nowadays, there are more and more green and responsible tours which are meaningful and educational as well. This is why Can Tho noodle factory is getting popular for both Vietnamese and foreigners to come and explore the cuisine culture and the typical local life in Can Tho, Mekong Delta.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a day trip focused on bricks and canals, but this turned out to be a deeply enriching experience. Our guide, Thomas, had a calming presence and spoke with care about the history and traditions of the area. The pottery and kiln segments were fascinating and not touristy at all — just honest work and old stories. I loved having lunch on the boat, just floating and chatting quietly. The sampan through the narrow waterway was lovely and photogenic. Thank you for such a soulful day.
This tour felt so genuine. Hannah was our guide and she was fantastic — friendly and insightful, she shared many personal stories from the region. I appreciated how we weren't rushed. The brick kilns looked like ancient temples, honestly! I really liked the walking bit — it let us interact a bit more with local people. The lunch was surprisingly good, even better with the river breeze. Of course, tasting the coconut candy and pop rice was fun too. Very different from the usual market-focused tours. Highly recommend.
It was so special to connect with the artisanal side of the Mekong. Our guide Minh was informative but also gave us quiet time to absorb the scenery. The boat ride was smooth, and the stop at the pottery and brick kilns was both photogenic and meaningful. Minh explained the generations of craftsmanship behind these structures, and it really brought it all to life. The walk in the village was a nice stretch, and lunch on the boat was delicious. I especially loved the calm rowing boat through the green canal – just pure peace.
I loved how this tour struck a balance between interesting heritage sites and peaceful moments. Our guide, Lâm, explained everything clearly and gave great historical background. I found the scale and age of the brick kilns genuinely impressive. The walk through the village was gentle and felt real — no touristy setups, just local life. The lunch on the boat was very enjoyable, with great views of the riverbanks. I also loved the coconut candy workshop — simple joys, friendly people. I'd happily do this again.
Chris was an excellent guide — knowledgeable and relaxed, he gave us the space to enjoy each moment without overloading us with information. The tour felt thoughtfully paced. The brick kiln kingdom was quite something — a landscape I never imagined seeing in Vietnam. Walking through the village was a good chance to see life behind the scenes. I really enjoyed lunch on the boat — generous portions and tasty dishes. The pop rice and candy stop was a fun way to finish. Definitely recommend this trip for a peaceful cultural day.
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy a day centered around bricks and kilns this much, but it turned out to be the highlight of my time in the Mekong! Danh was our guide — professional, patient, and very passionate about the region’s heritage. The brick kiln area was vast and beautiful in its own rustic way. I chose to do the village walk and really appreciated the quiet streets, kind people, and insight into local livelihoods. Ending with a sampan ride and coconut candy tasting was the perfect way to balance history and fun.
Merci mille fois!
What an unexpected gem of a tour! With David guiding us, we saw the Mekong in a way I hadn’t imagined — not just nature, but the people who shape it. The huge old brick kilns lining the river were powerful reminders of the region’s craftsmanship. I liked how the tour gave us choices — walk the village or stay onboard — and how everything was paced to let us absorb the atmosphere. Lunch on the boat was simple and excellent. The candy-making village was fun and light-hearted. A rich, meaningful day.
