I wasn’t in the mood for a long, tiring tour, so this half-day option was ideal. Thomas picked us up right on time and kept the vibe light and relaxed. The coconut candy place was more interesting than I expected — and those samples were dangerously good! I liked the traditional music session with fruit and tea, and especially the hand-rowed boat ride. It was quiet, slow, and perfect for taking in the atmosphere. Loved how the tour felt local and not overly touristy.
David did a wonderful job making this short tour feel rich and engaging. He gave us context for everything — the islands, the coconut uses, the music, and how people live along the river. I loved the part where we sipped honey tea while listening to the local musicians — felt like we were guests, not just tourists. The sampan ride through the narrow canal was a highlight. For a half-day, this packed in just the right amount of experience without feeling rushed.
To be honest, we thought this would be a simple boat ride and some candy tasting, but it turned out to be a mini cultural journey. Minh was energetic, full of humor, and gave us great insights into Mekong Delta life. We loved the quiet coconut village, especially watching how coconut candy is made — tasted even better after seeing the process. The horse cart was a quirky experience, and the sampan ride down the shaded creek was the perfect ending. Smooth, peaceful, and real.
This tour was really well structured. Hannah welcomed us with a bright smile and made us feel at ease from the start. I liked how we got to see so many elements of local life in a short time — candy making, music, tropical fruits, and the peaceful canal. We appreciated that the tour took us to less touristy areas too. It felt authentic, not staged. The sampan ride was quiet, lush, and so memorable. Thanks for a great experience, Hannah!
We booked this as a family of four with two kids (6 and 9), and it was perfect for their attention span. Duy was incredibly good with children, always explaining things in a way they could understand. The coconut workshop fascinated them, especially watching the candy-making. The horse cart ride was their favorite part! For me, it was the sampan ride — very tranquil and scenic. For a half-day trip, this gave us much more than we expected. Danke, Duy!
I joined this short tour with my sister during our stay in My Tho, and it was such a refreshing break. Lâm was punctual, kind, and full of interesting facts about daily Mekong life. I especially liked the coconut candy workshop — I never realized how many different things locals could make from one coconut! The horse cart ride was bumpy but fun, and the Vietnamese folk music was a lovely cultural touch. The hand-rowed sampan was incredibly calming. Highly recommend this if you have just a few hours to spare.
